Adult & Teen Challenge MidSouth to Launch a Young Adult Service Organization

[:en]Adult & Teen Challenge MidSouth (ATCM) is launching a young adult service organization made up of young adults, 20-40, on June 10, on the campus of ATCM. The group, called Challengers, includes both graduates of the program and individuals who are passionate about the mission of the organization, according to Dr. David McNabb, president, ATCM.

Challengers will promote and support ATCM through networking, events, service projects and fundraisers. According to Challengers President, Anthony Harris, “While we’ll have fun working together, our goal is to invest in people struggling with addiction in hopes they will experience freedom.”

The service organization is one of many in the area that allows young adults, also known as Millennials, to exercise their passion through volunteerism. “We’ve seen this passion from our graduates and friends and want to ‘harness’ it in a way that gives these young men and women a sense of community and purpose,” says McNabb.

The Challengers kickoff event will allow members and those interested in learning more about the service organization to hear details about the upcoming events, including a fund- and friend-raiser concert with Ryan Stevenson and Jason Biddle in August.

Anyone interested in attending the Challengers kickoff can call ATCM at (423) 756-5558 for more information or complete the form on the organization page: tcmidsouth.org/Challengers.

Adult & Teen Challenge MidSouth (ATCM) is a residential, faith-based recovery program for adults 18-50 struggling with addiction. Since its beginning by founder David Wilkerson on the streets of New York in 1958, the mission of ATCM is to provide freedom from addiction and other life-controlling issues through Christ-centered solutions. The result is radical life- transformation. A 2019 study showed 78% of program graduates were maintaining freedom from addiction. https://teenchallengeusa.org/news/nationwide-study-confirms-adult-teen-challenge-program-success/.
