My life before this program was no kind of life at all. I had started to use drugs and alcohol
around the age of 16 and my usage only progressed. By the time I was in college, I was unable
to maintain studies while using, so I dropped out after my second year.

I had come to the end of myself. I went to my pastor and explained that I wasn’t capable of taking care of myself or my 9-year-old daughter anymore. I gave him my keys, my bank accounts and my daughter and told him I needed help or I would not survive. He quickly made a call to Adult and Teen Challenge Midsouth and began the steps of helping me get my life back. Here’s how I got to that place in life.

My name is Anthony, and I am a life that was changed. I grew up in a Christian home and went to church every Sunday and Wednesday for as long as I can remember. However, when I turned sixteen, I found myself with more freedom and made choices that did not reflect my upbringing. My attendance at church decreased as my participation in the things of the world increased. By the time I graduated high school I had already developed a gripping and life altering drug addiction that destroyed any hope for a promising future.
